HRV & Ventilation Cleaning Kitchener, ON
Ventilation cleaning may involve an HRV core and screens, bathroom exhaust ducts, range hood runs, or some combination of these. The right scope depends on which equipment a Kitchener property has, its access points, and the symptoms being investigated. Photograph unit labels and accessible grilles, and note persistent condensation or cooking odours. Ask which components and duct sections are included, whether the exterior terminations will be checked, and which filter details or maintenance instructions can be confirmed for your specific unit.
Does a bathroom mirror stay fogged after the fan runs?
Check whether the fan grille is visibly dusty and note how long moisture or cooking odours linger. Share the unit type and accessible vent locations; these details help identify which exhaust runs or ventilation components merit assessment.
Check the HRV Core, Screens, and Access
An HRV core transfers heat between incoming and outgoing air, and dust on its plates or screens may affect airflow. Ask whether the core and screens are included, how they will be accessed, and whether condensate paths are part of the proposed scope. A photo of the unit label helps verify which maintenance guidance applies to that model.
Trace Bathroom and Range Hood Exhausts
A fan can run while its duct or exterior termination remains obstructed, so identify which exhaust route is under consideration. Photograph accessible grilles and exterior hoods, and ask whether the full duct run and termination are included. The number of bends, concealed sections, and access points affects the work and helps explain why one route may need a different scope from another.
Confirm Filter Type and Maintenance Access
Filter type and replacement access vary by ventilation unit. Record the model number, then ask where the filters are located and which replacement specifications are stated by the manufacturer. A useful handover identifies the relevant access points and maintenance information without assuming one schedule fits every home. This helps you plan routine care for the equipment actually installed.
